Writer KIKI is a Samoan-Filipina artist based in Honolulu, HI.
She has her Bachelorʻs degree in Theatre and is currently pursuing her Masters of Fine Arts in Hawaiian Theatre. KIKIʻs most recent acting credits include Frangipani Perfume, My Name is Gary Cooper and Victoria Kneubuhlʻs Holiday of Rain. KIKI dabbles in the arts of Hawaiian kapa making, poetry, and most recently playwriting. This is KIKIʻs first play. |
.Featured writer Victor Rodger is a playwright and scriptwriter of Samoan heritage whose theatre work deals with race, racism and identity.
Rodger’s first play, Sons, premiered at the The Court in 1995. He continues to produce plays that explore and challenge racial and cultural stereotypes, and that are grounded by vivid characterisation and complex character relationships. He has received numerous awards in recognition of his theatre work and was granted the 2006 Fulbright-Creative New Zealand Pacific Writers’ Residency at the University of Hawai’i. Highlights include Black Faggot, Club Paradiso, At The Wake and Girl on a Corner. |
Samoan-born and South Auckland raised, director Anapela Polataivao began acting at age eight.
After graduating from Toi Whakaari she launched theatre group Kila Kokonut Krew in 2002, with Vela Manusaute; the two were prime movers behind hit KKK musical The Factory, which morphed into a 2014 web series. Polataivao's CV also includes an award-winning lead role in short Night Shift, and a nomination for TV series The Market. She is one of the key tutors at P.I.P.A (Pacific Institute of Performing Arts). |

GABY SOLOMONA won a Best Newcomer Award at 2014's Auckland Theatre Awards after co-producing Club Paradiso by Victor Rodger and acting in Grace Taylor's My Own Darling for Auckland Theatre Company. She is a Pacific Institute of Performing Arts (P.I.P.A) graduate & features in the upcoming film 1000 Ropes.

FRANKIE ADAMS made her theatrical debut in PUZZY.
Best known as Ula on Shortland Street, she recently made her film debut in 1000 Ropes. Since PUZZY premiered in February, Frankie has been snapped up for a major part in a US television show, with a new role in space drama series The Expanse. |
MALIA ‘AHOVELO is a recent graduate from Pacific Institute of Performing Arts (P.I.P.A).
PUZZY was her first professional production. |
NORA AATI is an UNITEC graduate with credits including My Name Is Gary Cooper by Victor Rodger, Taro King by Vela Manusaute and Birds by Dianna Fuemana.
PUZZY was her triumphant return to the stage after appearing in her most important production to date: the birth of her first child. |
